Tribute to 'A Christmas Memory'

There are three songs in total in this video: "Two Best Friends", "A Sudden Realization" & "Always By My Side"

These three songs are a tribute from Dulcis Vox to 'A Christmas Memory'.

This short story is a marvelous one written by Truman Capote. It is a touching story about the friendship between a 7-year-old boy (Buddy) and his sixty-something-year-old cousin.

Some fun facts:

  • "Two Best Friends" is written in both Buddy's and his friend’s point of view, telling what they usually do every Christmas season and how they feel about each other. It has an uplifting rhythm.

  • "A Sudden Realization" is written in Buddy’s friend’s point of view, to emphasize her feelings when she suddenly becomes aware that God has always shown Himself and she is so satisfied with that day that she is ready to leave the world ‘with today in my eyes’.

  • "Always By My Side" is written in Buddy’s point of view, to speak up the emotions he has for his best friend in this whole wide world. She is not here anymore, but has moved to a better place. He still keeps her close to him and yearns for their reunion in heaven.
